Fly into Seville from the UK, and on arrival, transfer to your hotel in Andalucia’s sun-kissed capital, where orange trees line elegant boulevards and flamenco rhythms drift through the air.

Once you have settled in, enjoy a relaxed afternoon exploring on foot. Stroll through the shaded gardens of Maria Luisa Park, admire the tiled bridges of Plaza de Espana, or find your way to a local rooftop terrace to enjoy panoramic views over the terracotta skyline.

This evening, enjoy a relaxed dinner at a local tapas bar serving seasonal, locally sourced dishes.

Today is yours to explore Seville’s rich heritage at your own pace. You might wish to visit the impressive Royal Alcazar, one of Europe’s oldest palaces still in use. Its cool, tiled chambers and lush gardens reflect centuries of Moorish and Christian influence. A short walk away lies the Seville Cathedral, one of the largest in the world and believed to be the final resting place of Christopher Columbus.

Later, wander through the vibrant lanes of Barrio Santa Cruz, once the Jewish quarter, now a delightful maze of cafes, craft shops and hidden plazas. Stop for an artisan ice cream made with organic ingredients or browse for hand-painted ceramics created using traditional methods. 

In the evening, you may wish to experience a flamenco performance in a small, intimate venue - many of which are committed to preserving the authentic art form by supporting local dancers and musicians.

This morning, leave the bustle of Seville behind and board a high-speed train to Cordoba. The journey takes under an hour and glides through olive groves and golden plains; travelling by train allows you to sit back, relax, and enjoy the Andalusian countryside.

Upon arrival, check into your hotel and spend the afternoon at your leisure. You may like to explore the Juderia (Cordoba’s old Jewish quarter) with its quiet cobbled lanes, flower-filled patios, and small synagogues. The Palacio de Viana, a 16th century mansion with a collection of traditional courtyards, offers a peaceful and culturally rich experience.

This evening, unwind with a sunset stroll along the Roman Bridge, where the soft glow of the Mezquita rises above the riverbank.

Afterwards, you might choose to visit the Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, with its towers, pools, and orange gardens - ideal for a quiet afternoon walk. Alternatively, explore the Casa de Sefarad, a small museum dedicated to Sephardic Jewish culture, and discover the legacy of coexistence that defined medieval Cordoba.

In the afternoon, take time to unwind - perhaps at a local hammam (many of which now operate on sustainable geothermal systems) or relax at your hotel’s shaded terrace.

This morning, travel onwards by rail to Granada, a city steeped in Moorish mystery and backed by the snow-capped Sierra Nevada. The train ride takes around 2.5 hours, giving you time to relax and enjoy the changing landscapes of Andalucia.

Upon arrival, check in to your hotel. This afternoon, explore the neighbourhood’s charming nooks and crannies, and walk up to the Mirador de San Nicolas for an unforgettable sunset view of the Alhambra, glowing softly across the valley.

In the evening, wander back down to enjoy an atmospheric dinner, perhaps in a cave restaurant or family run bodega known for its commitment to organic farming and waste reduction.

Enjoy a full day to immerse yourself in the wonders of Granada. Most visitors will want to spend the morning visiting the Alhambra, one of Europe’s most famous monuments. Its intricately carved palaces and serene Generalife gardens offer a tranquil insight into Moorish elegance.

In the afternoon, enjoy a slower pace: perhaps sip mint tea in a traditional tetería, browse artisan shops in the Alcaiceria, or visit the lesser-known Carmen de los Martires gardens, a peaceful green space with sweeping views of the city and surrounding hills. 

In the evening, treat yourself to a final dinner celebrating Andalusian flavours - slow-roasted aubergines, honey-drizzled cheese, or locally caught fish paired with organic wines.

After breakfast, transfer to Malaga Airport for your return flight to the UK. Your holiday may be ending, but the stories, tastes and atmosphere of Andalucia are yours to keep.

The ideal time to explore Andalucia is during the spring (March to May) or autumn (September to early November), when temperatures are pleasantly warm and the cities are bathed in golden sunlight without the peak summer crowds. Spring brings fragrant orange blossoms in Seville and colourful patios in Córdoba to life, while autumn offers a milder climate perfect for strolling historic streets and hilltop viewpoints in Granada. Summers can be very hot, particularly inland, so visiting outside of July and August ensures a more comfortable and enjoyable experience.
