Our Co-op Holidays Refund & Flexibility Guarantee:

We understand that flexibility with holidays is important right now. Our Co-op Holidays promise will support you with your holiday arrangements. Co-op Holidays are the packages we sell where our business is responsible for the performance of the holiday. Where we are selling a holiday with another Tour Operator, we apply their policy and rules.

Once you have booked one of our Co-op Holidays packages, you may want to make a change.

Where we are the travel agent for other Tour Operators

For all other bookings, where our Co-op Holidays promise doesn’t apply, the booking is placed with a tour operator or supplier who has their own policy on cancellations and amendments. We can help you to understand these at the time of booking.

Need to change the date, destination or who is travelling?

You will not be charged any additional administration fees to make any of the above changes on a Co-op Holidays package.

However, any additional costs you may incur will be dictated by the travel suppliers we use to package your holiday. These could be airlines or hotels, and any costs incurred as a result of an increase in the holiday price (for example the hotel is a higher standard and price) will form part of your new holiday balance.

If there are any charges applied by the travel suppliers at this stage to make the changes, such as an airline fee for changing a name on a ticket, this must be paid immediately and will be a non-refundable charge. In this instance, it will not be refunded, even if we later cancel the holiday.

What if I decide to cancel my holiday?

You can cancel your holiday up to 6 weeks before your departure date you will receive a refund for the amount you have paid, minus the deposit of the holiday, within 10 working days.

If you cancel within 6 weeks of your departure date, unfortunately you would not be entitled to a refund. We recommend that you make a claim against your travel insurance for the loss you incur. We are able to assist you in finding the adequate travel insurance for your needs that specifically includes cover for Covid-19 related incidents.

Unable to travel due to a party member affected by Covid?

If, for example you or a member of the travelling party test positive for Covid-19, have been told to isolate or are unable to travel as they do not have the required vaccinations at the time of travel we will explain your options to you:

  • Where departure date is more than 6 weeks to go:

Alternatively, you can amend the holiday to something more suitable, for example an alternative destination or date. You can also transfer the holiday to another traveller if you so wish.

  • Where departure date is less 6 weeks to go:

If you cancel within 6 weeks of your departure date, unfortunately you would not be entitled to a refund. Alternatively, you can amend the holiday to something more suitable, for example an alternative destination or date. You can also transfer the holiday to another traveller if you so wish.

What if we (Co-op Holidays) have to cancel your holiday?

There are some circumstances in which we may have to cancel your holiday. If the destination you are travelling to has Foreign Office advice (FCDO) to say that the advice to British travellers is “against all but essential travel” we will cancel and refund the total cost of the holiday, within 10 working days. Your agent will then refund via the original payment method.

We will make the cancellation for imminent departures, which means bookings that are 7 days before your departure date. We won’t cancel in advance of 7 days or more, as advice can change within this time.

Destinations where I have to quarantine on arrival?

You will have the option to cancel your holiday or amend the holiday to a new destination or departure date.

What are non-refundable charges?

Any non-refundable items where a refund is not provided by the suppliers involved, usually airlines. If you have made some changes to your booking and you had to pay a non-refundable fee, that will not be refunded should you chose to later cancel, or if we have to cancel your holiday.

Examples of this may be where if you change the destination and the new flight incurs ticketing charges, a change of the airline as the original airline doesn’t fly to the new destination or a name change where the airline makes a charge for altering the ticket. We will make that clear before you chose to make any changes.

NOTE: This means we will not add any admin fees, you may still have to pay a non-refundable fee to the suppliers and costs may increase/decrease

Your Co-op Holidays Promise:

Book it – from £49 per person deposit. One of the lowest deposits in the market. Some holidays incur a higher deposit but we will make sure you know about this before you book. Deposits start from only £49pp.

Change it – We have removed our usual administration fees. If you decide to change your plans the only costs that you will incur are those introduced by the travel suppliers, airlines, hoteliers etc. If prices increase or fall as a result of the change, you will either pay or receive the difference.

Cancel it – If you change your mind and decide to cancel the arrangements we have moved our dates so that you can do this up to 6 weeks prior to travel and you will only lose the deposit you originally paid (and any other fee for other changes you may have made along the way)

Refund it – If we have to cancel the holiday, we will be issuing cash refunds within 10 working days. We will not issue deferred refunds or Refund Credit Notes.
