A large parish on the south-western tip of Jersey, St Brelade is named after the 6th century saint St Branwalader, said to have been the son of a Cornish king.
He gives his name to a parish which boasts one of the most popular and picturesque bays in Jersey which has become home to Jersey's busiest resort. Its soft, golden sands – on a beach which was awarded 'Recommended' status by the Marine Conservation Society in 2011 - are overlooked by cliffs affording spectacular sea views.
