Orlando’s Disney World has 4 incredible theme parks to enjoy, meaning that you’ll never run out of things to do and see.
Hollywood Studios will whip you away and into the world of the big screen where characters from the movies come to life, while in Toy Story Land you’ll shrink to the size of a toy!
Magic Kingdom aims to be “the most magical place on Earth”, and it’s where you’re most likely to meet Disney characters like Mickey Mouse and the many Disney princesses.
Animal Kingdom is a zoological theme park that focuses nature and animal conservation, and you can meet over 250 species of animals, see wild shows, and try out adventurous rides and attractions.
Lastly, Epcot is the unmissable theme park that promises to take you around the planet and even into outer space!
Disney is filled with what it calls the “ultimate water theme parks”, so it’s the perfect place to enjoy a soaking wet day of fun and adventures.
With Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park and Typhoon Lagoon Water Park attractions, you can spend your time riding the waves, swooping down the flumes, zooming along on inflatable rings, and feeling the rushing currents. Whether you’re riding alone or with your family together, the Disney waterpark experience is an unforgettable soaking-wet adventure.
My Disney Experience is the official Walt Disney World app, and makes planning your holiday easier than ever! Not only can you book your theme park tickets through the app, but you can also explore the parks with the interactive, GPS-enabled map and quickly see real-time wait times, parade show times, and character greetings. You’ll also be able to search through the rides and filter them by their location and height restrictions to make sure that you don’t have any disappointed kiddies who are too small to enjoy certain rides.
The Disney FastPass+ is your magic ticket to ensuring that your family gets to relish the rides and experiences they want when they want to, by leaping ahead of the queue like a VIP! Every ticket allows you to skip the line for up to three attractions or character meet-and-greets at one park, every day.
A good tip is to use your FastPass+ for the busiest rides and attractions that are most likely to have long queues and slow down your day. The more rides and experiences you have at Disneyworld, the more fantastic memories you’ll take away!
If you stay at a Disney hotel, you won’t just benefit from a spectacular place to stay and wake up within walking distance of the park – there are plenty of other bonus reasons, too!
You’ll have the chance to get into the theme parks an hour early, for a start. You’ll also be entitled to a complementary MagicBand, which is an all-in-one device connected to your My Disney Experience profile that gives you access to the parks, your hotel room. It also lets you buy food and merchandise, and gives you your FastPass+ access to the attractions and rides you have selected online.
When you’re on holiday in Disney World, you don’t want to be worrying about budgeting or carrying large amounts of cash on you – you want to be enjoying the experience with no hassle and no stress. A great way to help you budget and plan your days in advance is to take advantage of the Disney Dining Plans scheme.
If you stay in a Disney hotel you are eligible for the Disney Dining Plan, which is loaded onto and monitored via your MagicBand. With this scheme, you have less need to carry cash around with you, you can make dining reservations up to 180 days in advance, and you can plan and budget for eating and spending more easily.
There is no simple answer to tell you what time of year is best to visit Disney World, but a popular answer is September when the weather is hot and the crowds are thin, or January when the temperature is lower and the park is considered off-season. In January, the park is open for shorter hours and the water parks are closed, while September has normal park opening hours and the waterparks are open.
The hotel rates are lower in September because the kids have just gone back to school after their summer holidays, and the prices are lower in January because the month is considered off-season.
Even when the resort is at its busiest, just remember that there is never a bad time to visit Disney World!
