Paris City Breaks

Book Paris city breaks with us at Co-operative Travel. Whether you choose Paris in the summer when it sizzles, or book cheap Paris city breaks in winter when it drizzles, it’s a city that will capture your heart forever.

Surely the most romantic of all European city breaks, Paris has been captured many times in literature, song and celluloid. Weekend breaks in Paris can be enjoyed at any time of year. However, if you intend to book last minute Paris city breaks to go sightseeing and wander the romantic parks and gardens, then spring is the best time, when sizzling and drizzling are minimal. Or book bargain city breaks to Paris in Autumn, when the Bois de Boulogne are at their most beautiful.

Paris package city breaks are best taken without the car if you’re not used to driving over there as the roads can be busy.  High-speed Eurostar trains can now whizz you from London to central Paris in a touch over 2 hours – preferable to a 9 hour ferry crossing. Frequent cheap flights to Orly are also available. Take advantage of the excellent Paris Metro system to get about, then enjoy the spectacle of tourists trying to navigate the 12 exits of the Place de l'Étoile as you stand safely at the top of the Arc d’Triomphe. The Paris RER can whisk you to Disneyland Paris in under 45 minutes.

Make a day of it by continuing along the fabulous Champs-Elysees, the most beautiful avenue in the world. Along this prestigious tree-lined boulevard you will find an endless array of chic pavement cafes, luxury shops, designer boutiques, continental bars and cinemas. Just over a mile long, it leads to the famous Place de la Concorde, the largest square in Paris.

All city breaks, however short, should include a stroll along the River Seine to Notre Dame Cathedral. Montmartre Church is equally beautiful, and famous for its pavement artists. However, we at Co-operative Travel have left the best to last. Top of the list of things to see on bargain city breaks to Paris is, of course, the Eiffel Tower.
