Tivat is rumoured to be named after the Illyrian queen Teuta, who ruled part of Montenegro for a short period of time. Once modest and ordinary this small town has had a huge remodel. This includes transforming the old navy base into one of the most luxurious yachting resorts in the Mediterranean.
Although a big portion of Tivat is modern and glamorous, you can still find traces of its history. Some highlights include the Renaissance Summer House Buca in the centre of city, Ostrvo Cvijeca with sacred monuments, Gornja Lastva, the old nucleus, the magnificent beach at Plavi Horizonti and the island Sv. Nikola.
The 4* D&D apartments are located in a conveneint central location, 450 meters from the sea, 2.2 km from the bus station and 1.5km from the city marina. The friendly and highly professional staff, elegant ambience and comfortable as well as modern apartments will make your short break perfect. .
Nearby landmarks include the Tivat Solila (nature reserve), Porto Montenegro (superyacht marina), Maritime Heritage Museum and the Cultural Center. To top it all off there are plenty of places to eat and drink.
