Monarch Group Failure

We are very sorry to hear of the failure of Monarch Group.

We will contact all of our customers affected by this failure shortly.

The following companies have ceased trading: Monarch Airlines Ltd, Monarch Holidays Ltd, First Aviation Ltd, Avro Ltd, MH Aviation Transport Ltd, Avro Aviation Ltd and somewhere2stay Ltd. All holidays and flights provided by these companies are cancelled and will no longer be operating.

As all of Monarch's flights due to depart from the UK have now been cancelled, customers should not go to their UK airport.  The CAA has a dedicated website, which is the best source of advice and information for affected customers, and a 24 hour helpline (0300 303 2800 from in the UK and Ireland, and +44 1753 330330 from overseas) to provide additional assistance.

Please be assured that our dedicated colleagues are working hard to help any Co-operative Travel customers who have bookings with Monarch Airlines and Monarch Holidays. As ever, our colleagues remain dedicated to providing the highest levels of customer service and will do their utmost to ensure minimal disruption to your travel plans. As an ABTA and ATOL bonded travel agent, customers can rest assured that they their flight/holiday is protected and that their money is safe. 

Customers in resort and due to return imminently:

We are informed that the Civil Aviation Authority is making arrangements so that you can continue your holiday and fly home as planned without any disruption.

Customers currently overseas should check for confirmation of their new flight details which will be available a minimum of 48 hours in advance of their original departure time.  This website will be frequently updated with the latest information. Customers currently overseas shouldn't go to the airport unless their flight back to the UK has been confirmed on

  • If you booked in branch, please contact your branch in the first instance (please visit our branch locator for branch contact details).

  • If your booking was completed with one of our Personal Travel Agents, please refer to them in the first instance and they will ensure all the relevant arrangements are taken care of.

  • If you booked online or via our call centre, please contact our customer care team on 01922 277 212.

If you are unsure as to how your booking with us was made, please contact customer care and they will be able to advise you.

Please ensure you have your booking reference handy when contacting us to allow us to deal with your enquiry as efficiently as possible.

Customers due to travel

One of our agents will contact you should you be affected by this failure.  This work is being completed by departure date.  Therefore, please be patient as we deal with the immediate departures and customers in resort to begin with.  

Many airlines are adding additional flights to try and help the situation for customers still to travel, so if you do need to re-book your holiday, please call our sales team on 01922 234 400 as they will be happy to help you find a suitable alternative.
