Bulgaria Ski Holidays
If you thought skiing was an expensive hobby, think again; Bulgaria ski deals are about as cheap as it gets. Offering excellent value for money, Bulgaria ski resorts are modern and well established, with quick access to the slopes and excellent facilities for skiers of all levels. We at Coop Travel have cheap Bulgaria skiing holidays to the three main ski resorts of Borovets, Pamporovo and Bansko – the newest Bulgaria ski resort on our list.
Bulgaria skiing resorts are a first-class choice for beginners and those wanting a winter sports holiday on a budget, with low-cost lift passes, ski hire and lessons. Don’t worry about taking your Bulgarian phrase book, as English is widely spoken in the ski schools, and beginners will find they quickly progress on to the upper slopes. Bulgaria ski runs offer breath-taking views of the mountains, and while advanced skiers may find them a bit unchallenging, they are among the best slopes in Europe for novices and intermediates. In Bulgaria, snowboarding is also on offer, along with a lively après ski atmosphere.
Bulgaria ski holidays mean high quality at low cost. Bulgaria skiing accommodation is comfortable and varied, ranging from 4 and 5 star hotels at Bansko, to 3 star hotels and self-catering chalets at Borovets. Pamporovo also has a good selection of budget hotels and apartments. Despite the modern facilities, the Bulgaria ski villages are charming and traditional, with excellent bars, shops and restaurants – as well as discos for those with the energy left to dance.
Bansko is a particularly good choice if you want a Bulgaria skiing resort that allows time off for sightseeing. Well maintained tree-lined pistes and high altitude slopes, including slalom and giant slalom runs, offer plenty of challenges for more experienced Bulgaria snowboarding and skiing enthusiasts. An exhilarating helicopter ride will get you to Borovets (the largest Bulgaria ski centre) in 20 minutes. However, we at Coop Travel recommend you find time to explore the old town centre, which is rich in heritage monuments, museums and traditional tavernas.
