Cunard Cruises Information

Key information: One of the most famous cruise lines, Cunard has been serving holidaymakers with luxury cruises for many years. Having defined the luxury cruising experience, Cunard upholds their reputation and service with their perfect balance of luxury and elegance.

Cruises available: Cunard operates a total of three beautiful cruise ships; Queen Victoria, Queen Elizabeth and Queen Mary 2. With Queen Mary 2 being the cruise line’s flagship, it sails across the world to destinations such as Northern Europe, North America, and the Caribbean.

The ideal time to go: For transatlantic cruises, the best time to cruise with Cunard is during the peak summer months of July to August; this is when you can expect the best weather, although there may be more tourists. For those that are looking for a quieter cruise holiday, the early or late seasons tend to be calmer with fewer tourists, lower prices, and cooler weather.

Currency: The currency that is used onboard the cruise ships is the United States Dollar ($). You can also convert this into the British Pound Sterling (£) if you prefer to use GBP; to do this, you will need to notify the reception onboard. Please note that there is a 3% conversion fee if you choose to use GBP.

Fun fact: The Cunard line was originally formed to transport mail from Britain to North America.

Top tip: If you suffer from seasickness and forget to take your medication with you, you will find medication available on the ship at the reception desk or medical centre. However, these medications may incur a fee.
