Holidays to Guernsey 2016/17

The more southerly of the two main Channel Islands, Guernsey is a beautiful island which combines the climate of northern France with a distinct British flavour, and stunning scenery which everyone will appreciate.

With 27 beaches scattered around its coastline, it's no wonder that package holidays to Guernsey are so popular, as they afford anyone a chance to drink in all that's best about the most southerly part of the UK. Guernsey islanders are especially proud of their cuisine, which makes great use of local produce such as fruit and vegetables, and the rich variety of seafood which is caught just off its shores.

Guernsey holidays can be taken in a wide range of accommodation to suit all tastes and budgets, which range from four-star luxury to self-catering options designed to suit those looking for low-cost holidays on Guernsey. Due to its proximity to the UK mainland, flights to Guernsey are short and generally nice and cheap! Flights are available from many UK airports, with some great deals available from Birmingham & the London airports.

The island also offers tremendous variety in entertainment, with lots on offer whether you're looking for excitement, or want a relaxing holiday on which all the family can unwind. There is also an extensive network of Ruettes Tranquilles, or quiet back roads, which can be used to take relaxing drives to explore less-often visited parts of the island. For extra adventure, catch the ferry over to Herm or Sark and experience real tranquility on islands with no traffic (you can hire bikes, take a horse & cart ride or just explore on foot). There are some fantastic beaches on these smaller islands and they are well worth a day trip, or longer stay if time permits. On a clear night the view of the night sky is fantastic due to the lack of artificial lighting on the islands, indeed Sark was designated the worlds' first dark sky island.

The main town on Guersney is the islands' capital St Peter Port. It's a bustling cosmopolitan town with a wide variety of shops, bars and restaurants

Accommodation on Guernsey comes in all shapes and sizes, and the amount of friendly, hospitable establishments available ensures that even if you're looking for late deals to Guernsey, you're likely to find something that suits you perfectly.
