Holidays to Calas De Mallorca
Calas de Mallorca is a modern, purpose built resort on the east coast of the island of Majorca. Approximately 70km away from the capital Palma and the Son Sant Joan International airport, the transfer time usually takes around 2 hours.
Recommended for families, the resort has a fairly quiet and relaxed feel to it, ideal for those looking for a base from which to further explore the east coast. Transport is somewhat limited so it’s a good idea to consider hiring a car if you’re looking to explore the island.
Daily buses run to Palma about 10 times a day during the summer months, allowing those with a sense of adventure the chance to easily get out and about to the larger cities.
For families with young children, Calas de Mallorca boasts three small sandy coves, all of which offer a great selection of pedalos and water sports for you to maximise your time at the beach. The Calas Express road train runs day and night between the beaches, so there’s ample opportunity to enjoy all three. However, the more adventurous amongst you may prefer to take the coastal path between beaches which is cut into the cliffs.
The Centro Commercial is your one stop place for all of your daily needs, providing a selection of shops and bars. Although evening entertainment is for the most part hotel based, there are a small number of bars offering live music, for those wanting to explore the resort more in the evening.
If you’re around on a Sunday, you may wish to take a trip to the nearby town of Felantrix, where you’ll find one of the best markets in Majorca. Just be prepared to haggle with the traders if you want to ensure you’re getting the best bargains.
Ideally suited to families, Calas de Mallorca is the place to go for beach lovers. Book today with Co-op Travel.
