Holidays to Cala San Vincente
Cala San Vincente is one of the smallest resorts on the island of Majorca. The village lies on the North West coast of the island, approximately 60km north of the capital Palma. Ideal for those interested in a walking holiday, Cala San Vincente offers exceptional coastal and rural scenery.
Although adapted for tourists nowadays, Cala San Vincente traditionally had links with both farming and fishing. The local fishermen still use part of the beach to repair their nets and store their goods. The majority of the village is residential; however you will be made to feel very welcome, like an old friend.
If you’re into beaches, this resort won’t disappoint; it has three. Cala Barques is the prettiest and largest, offering a selection of small restaurants, bars and shops, with beach umbrellas and pedalos available to hire.
If you head around the knoll, you’ll find the smallest of the three, Cala Clara. This beach is perfect if you’re staying in the nearby hotel, as it’s right on your doorstep. It gets very crowded during the peak of the summer months, unsurprisingly, due both to its close proximity to the hotel, and its fine beauty.
Cala Mollins tends to be the most popular beach of the three due to its fine sands. With glorious clear sea, and spectacular views of the Formentor peninsula from all of the beaches, the village of Cala San Vincente will not be rivalled in beauty.
Cala San Vincente does not have much to offer in the way of evening entertainment, making it ideal for those who prefer a relaxing evening stroll on the beach, or an early night after a long day of adventure.
More suited to mature couples and families with older children, visit Cala San Vincente if you’re interested in the wonderful coastal and rural scenery.
