Mediterranean Cruise Holidays

Of all the last minute cruises we offer at Co-operative Travel, cruise deals to the Mediterranean top the popularity list. From the Riviera beaches of the west, to the ancient cultural sites of the east, a Mediterranean cruise is full of beauty and grandeur. If you’re looking for cheap Med cruises, we at Coop Travel have the solution.

The Mediterranean is the most popular cruising destination in Europe, and it’s not hard to see why. A luxury Med cruise takes you to the world’s largest inland sea. Bordered by three continents, it includes some of the most beautiful and culturally significant destinations in the world. Stretching from the Atlantic Ocean and Strait of Gibraltar in the west, to the Black Sea and Aegean in the East, Med cruises reach as far as the Suez Canal. Turkey, Malta, Ibiza, Greece, Spain, Italy and Sardinia are just some of the destinations our last minute cruises visit.

Med cruises depart from a number of British ports, among them Dover, Southampton and Newcastle, but the majority depart from major european cities such as Athens, Barcelona, Genoa, Marseille, Rome & Venice. Many people book fly-cruises from these major ports combined with pre or post cruise hotel stays included - if this is the sort of cruise you are looking for, call our expert Cruise team who will be only too pleased to help you package up the perfect trip.

Many Med cruises departing from the UK are round trips lasting 10 days or more, spending a couple of days at sea before entering the Mediterranean. If the sightseeing and island hopping is one of the big draws to cruising then a fly-cruise departing from a continental port may be the best option for you, the ship sails at night meaning less days at sea and stopping off at more ports throughout the cruise – often up to 6 in one week.

Western Med cruises visit the Italian coast, French Riviera, Malta, Spain, Tunisia and the Balearics, while an Eastern Med cruise covers Venice, Athens, Turkey and the islands of Greece. The peak Mediterranean cruise season is May to October, when temperatures are high and rainfall low. However, if you’re looking for last minute Med cruises out of season, we at Coop Travel also have winter cruise deals at incredible prices.
