Alaska Cruise Holidays
Looking for a different kind of holiday? Then escape into the wild blue wilderness with an Alaska cruise. Our luxury Alaska cruises take you to a spectacularly remote and beautiful area; one of forested islands, calving glaciers and sparkling waterfalls, where wildlife greets you at every turn. Escape back to nature with us at Co-operative Travel – book one of our Alaska cruise deals.
Our last minute Alaska cruises take you to the largest and most remote state in the US. Poised on the northwest tip of North America, with Canada as its neighbour, Russia lies just across the Bering Strait. Our luxury Alaska cruises fly you to a port such as Vancouver or Seattle, flying back from the same port or another one. Princess Cruises offer cheap Alaska cruises from Whittier, flying to Anchorage and back from Vancouver. Other companies offering Alaska cruise deals include Celebrity, Holland America and the Royal Caribbean International cruise line.
The Alaska cruise season is Mid-May to September, with the most popular months being July and August. However, don’t book Alaska cruise deals expecting to get much of a suntan, especially if you book a Bering Sea cruise. At the height of the season, temperatures rarely go much above the low twenties, and are changeable with a high incidence of rainfall. In May and June cheap Alaska cruises are plentiful, and the driest months to travel – though with temperatures of 10 to 18 degrees Celsius, remember to pack a few woollies!
Alaska cruises tour the narrow strip of coast between the mountains and the Pacific and Arctic Ocean, or the remote and beautiful islands of the Bering Sea. As you travel you will see majestic whales, leaping Alaskan salmon, roaming bears and soaring eagles. At Co-operative Travel have a number of Alaska cruise deals to choose from, including Inside Passage and Glacial Alaska cruises. Most spectacular (though a little colder) are our Bering Sea cruises, which visit remote Arctic islands and Eskimo settlements.
