Booking a Late Deal with Co-op Travel

Top Ten Tips for Booking a Late Deal

Tip 1

Know what you want...

The more information you can give our travel agent, the easier it is to find you something that you will like. Have an idea of where you would like to go (or at least what you like to do), what dates you can go and where you can fly from. If facilities like a swimming pool or a lift to all floors are important to you then mention them early on in your call and it helps us find the best deal for you.

  Tip 6

Know what you don't want...

Similarly, if there is something you really don't want then let us know. It may be that you have young children so don't want night flights, or you may not like the idea of being in a really lively resort. It's important for us to get you not only an amazing cheap holiday deal, but also to make sure you have a great time while you're there.

Tip 2

Be flexible ...

The more flexible you can be, the more chance you have of picking up a holiday bargain. It's often cheaper to fly on a weekday, at night or from an alternative airport. You can often pick up some well-deserved holiday discounts by being as flexible as possible.

  Tip 7

Talk to your travel agent...

Your travel agent wants you to have a great holiday, and they can only make sure you do if you tell them what you like and what you don't like. Tell us where you've been before that you enjoyed, what you liked about it and we can get an idea about where you may like to go.

Tip 3

Spend as much as you can afford...

Like anything in life, you get what you pay for. Your accommodation should always be clean and well maintained but often you can get an improved star rating, board basis or location for just a few pounds more. Spending that little bit extra on your holiday hotel, apartment, or flight seats could make all the difference to your holiday experience.

  Tip 8

Know what you're booking...

If you don't have any brochures to hand, don't worry. We have all brochures here and we can even send you a personalized e-brochure featuring all the holidays we have talked to you about to help you make your decision. Our agents can look up guides, reviews and a wealth of information about your resort, hotel, apartment or studios to make sure there are no unpleasant surprises when you arrive.

Tip 4

Get yourself the best deal...

We have beaten thousands of quotes from other travel agents; let us do the same for you. If you have been offered free insurance, free airport parking, free airport transfers then give us a call, we will do everything we can to match and beat any quote offered by our competitors. Don't be afraid to ask.

  Tip 9

Use a holiday reference number...

At the end of your call you will be given a reference number, your agent will store all the details of everything you have discussed on this reference. If you call back the best way to get your call dealt with as quickly and efficiently as possible is to quote this number (extra tip: if you have forgot or lost your number, give the agent your surname and they will be able to find it for you).

Tip 5

Don't be afraid to call back...

We never lose sight of the fact that this is YOUR holiday and it's important to us that it's right for you. If you think of a question you didn't ask or something that we didn't cover during your enquiry then give us a call, nothing is too much trouble. Even if you change your mind and want to look at alternative destinations, call us back and pick up where you left off.

  Tip 10

When you find the right deal, book it...

Prices can change at any time, and it's rare they go down. There is nothing more disappointing than finding the right holiday and either the price changing or somebody else booking it while your deciding. Our advice; if you find a holiday that you know you will enjoy and you think it's a fair price, then book. Otherwise you could be left missing out or having to pay more.
