West Midlands Co-operative Society (WM) and Oxford, Swindon & Gloucester Co-operative Society (OSG) have recently merged to create the fourth largest co-operative society in the UK. The new co-operative is called The Midcounties Co-operative.

The Food Division With 149 food retail stores the Midcounties Co-operative is one of the largest independent food retailers in country.  Operating food stores in both the OSG and WM region.

The Pharmacy Division has 34 pharmacy branches and one specialist beauty and gift branch. We have one branch in the Southern trading area, Swindon, with the remainder located in the West Midlands. Each year our 230 staff dispense more than 2 million prescription items and as well as providing a traditional dispensing service we offer a wide range of extended services to our customers, such as support to quit smoking, a weight management service and asthma reviews.
